Great Week-end!

The pow-wow was great! Princess danced both days and is ready for more! I didn’t enter her into any contests yet, but I am hoping to at another dance coming up in the middle of the month. I found someone to make her an entire outfit to include the leggins (something I am not good at), all I have to do is purchase the beads! How cool is that! Of course she is a relative that always helps. So hopefully we will have a complete outfit by month’s end. Well, have to go for now. Hope all is well with everyone reading…….

Pow-wow this coming weekend!

Well, princess will be dancing this coming weekend! She is very excited. I don’t have my own computer set up yet, with the move and all so I can’t post any pictures yet. I am hoping to have everything set up by the end of the month. I haven’t been able to locate my movie camera, so I cannot get any film yet either.

I love being back home. I forgot there are many pow-wow’s throughout the year. She is very excited. She is even adjusting to school. which is a good thing

Grand Entry

Today princess was able to practice her skills. She did great! We were at a small pow-wow and she loved it! I came across a few women who will help me make her costumes throughout the years and I am so happy about that! Next stop high top beaded mocassins! We are hoping to go to our Nations Annual gathering. Well, just stopping by to see what is up! Hey bunny, I may be moving back to this neck of the woods….I’ll keep you posted

Hello from the Great Plains!!!

Hey all. Well we are here in Bunny’s neck of the woods and have been since about the 2nd of July. It is so beautiful! Bunny, I haven’t slowed down long enough to call you, but promise I will. My mobile phone doesn’t work so well here. I just moved my mom into her new place and hopefully we can play tourist a little more! The scenery here is sure different than the desert! Trees! GRASS!!!!! but, also mosquitos……..Princess is having a problem with them. Then with the weather change we were sick the first week here. But the antibiotics seem to be kicking in pretty good! So, all in all, our little vacation is turning out pretty great! Hope all of you ladies are having a great summer! ttyl

Summertime…………

Pow-wows are comin’…………………….! In Bunny’s neck of the woods. I have only heard of about 3 here until December??????? Princess will outgrow her costume by then!

I know, I haven’t written for a long time, but life happens and we just manage to survive day by day.

School is out and I am very happy. Yesterday we received a Honor Roll certificate for Princess. She was 4.0! I am beaming with pride. Another for reading hours…..wonder if I sent all of the planners back??? hm, oh well. Her Homeroom Teacher is pretty fair. (not me, her real homeroom teacher, Ms. Jackson) She will be in the 3rd grade this fall. She thinks she is so grown up She has been invited to participate in the Gifted and Talented program at her school. I think it is computer based, not sure. I barely managed to get her returning paperwork faxed out   So, she obviously doesn’t get it ftom me! ha!ha!ha!

Anyway, Bunny, I plan on being in your neck of the woods next month for about a month. So, we will have lunch and really catch up!

Fighting windmills, I love the pictures of your son and his new haircut. He is so cute! Simply Inspirational is just that, plus I love ya alot! ttyl

 

Say What???????????

Okay, so today princess tells me that she does not want to dance because in 5 years she will be 13??????????????????  mmmmm………… okay…………… anyone????? 

I am hoping this is a passing phase…….anyone with teens have this????????????

Happy Mother’s Day!!!

Okay, I get it…..I’m 3 days late, but the sentiment is the same. I hope all you bomb mothers out there had a spectacular day! My princess was very generous with me.  Happy Belated Mothers day and I send you all love

GOD Speed…..

As some of you may recall, my very dearest friend’s mother was a miracle in the making. Today at 5:30 p.m., she went home to be with GOD. Her suffering was great and now she is at peace. We are so Thankful for the additional time that we were allowed with her. She had the time to say goodbye to family and friends……. My dear friend held her mothers hand as she left our world………..she is heartstricken……..so if you could find the time, would you please pray for Ms. Marian to have a safe and speedy journey home and for my friend Stephannie and her brother John, to find comfort in those who gather around them at this time. Thanks ladies.

Beaming Pride :)

Okay, I know we all have children and are very proud of them….but….I look at princess dance and I kid you not, she is beautiful and graceful and I don’t know what else! I just overflow with pride of the baby I had, the little girl she is and the beautiful woman she is becoming……..(not too soon I hope )  I never thought my baby who did the “frankenstein” walk when she began walking, fell when she learned to turn, slipped on her own little feet, would be learning the graceful movement of traditional dance. Okay so she was only 1, but still…………She is very elegant. And FAST!!!! She is really picking up those beats! I am truly beaming with Pride

Back to practice….

Princess is dreading today as it is practice day. She always does great, but doubts herself. She practices throughout the week and today is the day she puts it all together. She is getting so good at her steps…..it makes me have watery eyes each time. Today she is dreading it because yesterday she spent so much time on her wii. She made herself have sore muscles. She must have done dance dance revolution about 20 times! She loves that.  I still haven’t learned how to post movies on here although fighting windmills provided me great insight. It is proving to be beyond my ability. Oh well, I’ll keep trying. Have a great day all
