A Scorpion

scorpion1.jpgThis pattern is in this months copy of bead and button. I made this in about 10 hours all together. It is about 7 inches long and approximately 4 inches wide. I am planning on putting it onΒ the passport kind of wallet that men carry in their suit pocket. Now, I have to find the wallet………. πŸ™‚

This is super-duper cool. How big is your loom? I could learn a thing or two from you about beading!!!! Want to take on a student?? πŸ™‚

  4. fancydancer Says:

aawwwwww Thanks gr8brain! My loom is about 3 feet tall and about 1 1/2 foot wide. I would love to take on a student! Just let me know when. πŸ™‚

WOW! That’s so cool that you have a loom that big. And you only use ‘seed’ beads?!?!? How do you keep from going cross-eyed? πŸ˜€ I have a teeny-tiny one compared to yours. Did you purchase it or build it yourself? I’ve done a little bit of research and there are some die-hards around that would NEVER purchase a loom. LOL. I don’t know that I have know-how (or space) to have one that big. (I’m a little jealous, by the way!)

We’ll have to figure out how you can tutor me from a couple of states away! πŸ˜‰

My husband built it for me. I have one that I have had since I was very young and use that one at times. I’ve seen the ones that are sold in the package…I actually tried one, but it is a little too complicated for my taste πŸ™‚
Tutoring a couple of states away is no problem πŸ™‚ The beads really are not that small…or I’m just used to them. Not sure which πŸ™‚

  7. gr8brainfarts Says:

What size are they? A lot of the patterns I see are suggesting size 11. Those ARE small. πŸ™‚ If the distance isn’t an issue, then GREAT! I’ll get started and be in touch when I get stuck, need advice, or have questions!!! πŸ˜‰
